I'm on a trip around the world that will hopefully last from August 2018 to August 2020. Given the way it's going, it seems like I'm on a quest to fix a host's leaky sink, runny toilet, or creaky cabinet in every country!

I'm never sure what to say about myself. I like to write fiction, play board games, and write letters.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel, as I suspect many of you do. I've traveled all over the U.S. (~45 states and ~30 capitals) and have had a wonderful time. A favorite trip was a weekend excursion driving along the Ohio River from Pittsburgh to Cincinnati. I've also been to Europe three times; one time included buying and racing a car from northern France to Barcelona, Spain.

Specifically about couchsurfing: there's a better community and stronger bond made here than most any other place. I'm always looking to make friends and this site helps connect me with interesting people from all over.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain...

What I Can Share with Hosts

I hope I can offer a host a bit of rousing conversation at the very least! I can't claim to be a good cook, but I like making food (and I don't mind doing the dishes!). I'm on couchsurfing to meet new, cool folks that you can't really meet through other services.
