ABOUT ME

I wont make it to tell everything about me, so I'll shorten it up. I studied biology (biomechanics) in Freiburg and doing my masterdegree in Bremen now in bionics (biomimetics: locomotion in fluids). If you are interested in it we could talk about it while having a beer or wine. Otherwise we could skip it and talk about anything else. Especially everything belonging to outdoor activities. I love enjoying the countryside and doing sports like climbing, hiking and diving. Furthermore I like being around with people, whether good friends or people I just met, drinking a good beer or wine, chat and laugh. This is, besides exploring new landscapes, cultures and getting to know to foreign countries, the main reason why I travel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

After hosting plenty of people in Sweden, I try to host some people back in Germany if it is possible.
On my next journeys I'm going to surf again myself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started with hosting 3 people long time ago.
When I came to Sweden for study I started with surfing on a couch. After 2 month on a field station somewhere else I came back to Gothenborg, living in the same flat where I started, but not as a couchsurfer anymore. Over the whole summer we hosted a lot of people there and it was a great experience to meet people from all over the world and hosting them so they could explore my temporary home.

Interests

Nature (plants, animals, mountains, lakes, seas... all of it),
sports (I do a lot of sports and like to learn new sport, I've never tried before. At the moment I regularly climb, dive and play footbag and try to learn disc golf) and
countries, their people and culture (I hope to learn as much as possible about a country and their people, when I am travelling.).

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music. Usually I listen to older music, so that I am not up to date with new songs that much. But I am interested in nearly any kind of music, but I prefer handmade songs. Probably it is because I played guitar and bass myself for many years.
I read not so many books, especially nearly no novels. But sometimes I love to lay back with a glass of wine and read a nice book about adventures in the mountains or places hard to travel.
I like watching movies, but I'm not good in remembering them all :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the best times I ever had was hiking in Swedish Lappland for 6 weeks... all I needed was in my backpack or I found in nature.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd like to learn new languages, although I have difficulties in doing it. But maybe you are a good teacher for me. Furthermore I always love to get to know to new sports or activities especially outdoors. If you think that I know something you would like to learn, just ask me, I would like to share my knowledge.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Cambodia, Croatia, Denmark, Egypt, France, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Morocco, Netherlands, Norway, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, United Kingdom, Zimbabwe

Countries I’ve Lived In
