Overview
About Me
See photos of 'My Home' for detail about the communal house you'd be staying in, in Judith's Paarl, a suburb of inner city Joburg (search 'Victoria Yards' for location).
I'm very busy so may only have time for a coffee and a word here or here...
CURRENT MISSION
Action research for my PhD (really my life learning) on Enabling a Wellbeing Economy in Johannesburg Inner City Eastern Gateway. Meditation and Buddhism. Exploring alternative, more skilful ways of living and working together.
ABOUT ME
Well... Capetonian 'born and fled'. Easy to get to know and open to pretty much everything!

Interests
Housing, inner city, informal settlements, upgrading.
Alternative ways to live, for my future and the world's. Different market systems, governance systems - actually put into practice and working somehow.
Education - how people grow, develop. Different systems.
And many many others => =>
People, friends, organisations, music, travel (of course), new experiences, getting passionate about something (anything and everything!) at University, getting involved in projects and throwing myself into them to make them work, etc etc

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
South Africa - my country of extremes. The exorbitant wealth of leafy Cape Town in contrast to the pverty of squatter camps 20km away. Such emotion. Love. violence. Hope.
And how it is so different yet in other ways so similar to the other places I've been...
Teach, Learn, Share
Alternatives. How we can do things differently. And actually doing them.
Ideas on development, South Africa, its history and its future, and how people integrate in on all this. Sustainability, poverty, climate change and politics. Discussions on stuff related to social anthropological ideas, and of course, music. Singing together/ playing music. Dancing. Losing oneself.
