Hi ! I'm Simona !
I was born in Serbia (Belgrade), then when I was two years old I moved to France (in the Alps) and now after a few years studying philosophy and sociology in Paris and working in Tanzania, I've become a French teacher for foreign people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

On February 2018, I've decided that I would travel once per month. I has been extraordinary so far and as it's one of the best decisions I've ever made. I want to keep doing it and CS is a great way of making the best out of my trips.

Interests

I sincerely love my work and if you don't stop me I could talk to you about my students or about the French language for ever (and now that i've finished studying philosophy I'm actually even more interested in the subject) ;)
But to be fair I'm not so much of a workoholic. I'm really into life's little pleasures.
And the main thing I love : people (it sounds super cheesy I know).
All of my best memories involve people and even though I appreciate my own company a lot, I think that our lives are made thank's to the people we meet and that the only thing that really matters is human connexions.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm fond of rock'n'roll. And jazz. And soul. And classical music.
And Kundera. And Zweig. And many authors. But Kundera and Zweig are the best ;)

I love movies too but I think there are too many good movies ; I can't quote all of them ! Nevertheless, I can tell you that my favorite one is The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. I just think that this movie is perfect : the story, the soundtrack, the dialogues... Everything is in the right place for me.
(Also : Fight Club, Memento, Mr Nobody, Cloud Atlas, Forrest Gump, American Beauty, Requiem for a dream, etc.)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
