About Me

Put in simple words - I'm Simona, 24 years, from Bulgaria, lived in the Netherlands, Belgium and Greece, super eager for exploring more about myself and the world around me. People's descriptions about me vary from "laid-back and calm" to "wild and energetic", so it really depends on how much sleep I've got and how much sun there is in the sky. I recently finished my bachelor and I have high ambitions to find a field and a gap where I can bring positive change and make more people smile and appreciate their strengths. How will I do that? No idea yet, honestly, but I'm learning how to be okay with the unknown, while developing myself and listening more to my body, heart, and soul. I'm think that the best kind of experiences come from following my own path and trusting myself that I'll figure it out (and trusting the universe). I'm a huge lover of nature, the beach and the forest are my best friends. Visiting new places always gives me such a high ecstatic feeling and fulfillment.

I love listening to other people and their stories, so I'd love to hear yours!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm quite new here, so I'd love to experience more of this amazing platform, I've heard great things from friends. Now that I'm not studying or working, I want to explore more of this world we have been given, meet new people who can share with me their stories and give me the chance to know more about their culture. Plus, couchsurfing helps me save a good amount of money that I can use for more different travel experiences and memories.

Music, Movies, and Books

Wow, how much time do we have? Right now I'm reading more non-fiction psychology books and exploring the one-million dollar question of what makes us human. But I can nerd about Harry Potter, The Mortal Instruments or Stephen King's books all day! I've watched too many movies and series in my teenage and university years, it was quite an escape from all the stress then. I can watch Forrest Gump and the Nicholas Sparks movies again and again. Definitely into mind blowing movies, as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I solo travelled through Portugal for three weeks, climbed over difficult cliffs just to get to hidden beaches, randomly went to bungee jump in an adventure park, ate traditional food every single day, and almost passed out from the heat in Lisbon (that part not so amazing but it taught me how important rest in the shade is!).

Teach, Learn, Share

Open for a lot of things! Let's talk and we can surely figure out something we have in common. Always curious to learn more and share experiences with people.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Some people say I'm funny but I'd let you decide that for yourself. I can share simple local recipes, teach you some dance moves, play different sports (volleyball is my specialty), have a little language exchange together, or be artistic and creative. If you're wondering about meditation practices, I'd also be down for sharing my experience with them. Good energy!!
