Hi, my name is Sima. I'm from Slovakia, Europe. I study business economics and management at university. I have tried many hobbies in my life, but my passion is portrait photography, because I try to bring something artistic into my photos.

I care a lot about my family and the people I meet. I believe we are the average of five people we meet... so we should think carefully about who we give our energy to and who will give it back to us.

I am interested in topics such as small business, investing or passive income, but I am still just a beginner and would like to increase my knowledge.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am currently in America this summer through the work and travel program. After my seasonal work I would like to visit cities like Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and New York and also see some national parks. I want to get to know new people and their culture. I am very interested in the cross-cultural differences between people, which is why I want to try couchsurfing. Also,since I'm just a student, I can see the potential to save some money this way :D haha.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I can listen to anything. But what makes me dance the most is reggeton, Latin music. I also like pop and drum and base.

Movies: I like to watch comedies where you can laugh. I also like disaster movies, shark movies or space movies like The Martian.

Books: I really like motivating books, although I don't have much time for them at the moment. Some of my favorites are The four agreeement, Atomic Habbits, etc. And next I would like to read: The Power of Now, Surrounded by Idiots.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I participated in the DOFE programme - Duke of Edinburgh International Award. Within this programme I volunteered in a hospital and in an orphanage.
