ABOUT ME
From what I heard, I am a friendly, little crazy, sporty and curious guy who has a big passion for life. I have to admit that my biggest hobby is to discover the unknown which brings me on all kinds of adventures! Discover new flavours, new sceneries, new fragrances, new sounds, new cultures and new people. I discovered that most of our actions are based on our fears for the unknown, so I try to look beyond them and dive into them.. By doing this I realise that my judgment is getting less and less and my understanding of life is growing and "I know that I know nothing" (Socrates). Besides exploring I love to DANCE, cook and do all kinds of sports -my favourites are outdoor sports, such as surfing, Hiking, soccer-, I love to do spontaneous karaoke, play music and learn from the school of life.

RANDOM ME
Almost every day I start my day with 30 min of dancing and stretching, I call it groove yoga (not official yoga)..

PHILOSOPHY
" The only thing you will regret in life is when you don't give enough love to the one you love"
Everyone acts from its own rationality, so judge as less as possible and stay close to yourself..

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Heard good stories from friends, so I gave it a shot. I noticed that mostly open-minded and interesting people participate in CS and they always share nice stories! Sharing is caring:)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have some good experiences!! I have done it in Italy, Australia and the Netherlands! Hosted only good people so far who where open-minded and interesting people so far:)

Interests

I see myself as a spider with many different interests. My life path changes and so do passions and interest. But I cannot imagine my life without dancing, watching movies, reading good books, drinking tea, sports and good food.

  • poetry
  • dancing
  • salsa dancing
  • wine
  • yoga
  • meditation
  • traveling
  • guitar
  • surfing
  • snowboarding
  • anthropology

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite books are: The four agreements of Don Ruiz Miguel, the monk who sold his Ferrari by Robin Sharma and the seven spiritual laws of succes by Deepak Chopra
Further I like to read biographies (e.g. Nelson Mandela, Albert Einstein, Mahatma Gandhi, the Alchemist), some historic novels such as the trilogy of Ken Follet and the Dan Brown series and last but not lost least I love self-help books!

Music: Always a difficult one, depends on my mood and my phase in life. It goes from Salsa to Reggae to old school rock, R&B and relax guitar music (flamengo or country)

Movies: Same as music, I watch all kinds of movies, it depends on my mood.. Lately I seen the movie about queen (Bohemian Rhapsody) and the movie from Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga 'A star was born'.. Beautiful movies.

Series: Games of thrones (Unfortunatly it has ended) and Sherlock Holmes on Netflix

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitch-hiking for 2 months through Europe without paying for accommodation and transfers. So I slept on beaches, on mountains, at peoples' couches, in a church and next to highways. This adventure made me appreciate life even more and also shows that if you know what you want, life provides.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you: about tea, groove yoga, soccer, cross fit, stuff about wine (worked 2 year as a wine advisor), sustainability, cooking and different dancing styles: salsa, bachata, funk, modern and crazy dancing. But to be honest, I don't consider myself as a teacher, I feel myself more at ease in the student role.

I want to learn
- More about different cultures
- More about vegetarian food
- More about mountains
- More about tea
- Life lessons
