ABOUT ME

I am a friendly, approachable, out going and open minded person. I like to keep up an active lifestyle and am very hardworking in everything I do. I'm extremely interested in travel and wish to do so as much as possible! I like to keep organised and am very clean and tidy (I promise!) In general I am open to as many new experiences as I can get involved in and hope to live a varied and engaging life.

PHILOSOPHY

There seems to be little rhyme or reason to a lot of what happens in life. The best you can do all you can for everyone you can and hope to fulfill your potential in an unpredictable future.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Presently I am fairly new to couchsurfing, I am hoping to do it as I travel up and around the coast of Australia, and am looking forward to hosting once I get a place either here or back in the UK.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have stayed with a good few couchsurfing friends of mine in and around the UK and have had a great time with them. They have all got good stories about doing it around other areas of the world which is what drew me towards it now!

Interests

I am always open to getting involved in as much as I can and engage in various past times. I am a drummer and have played in bands for over ten years now. I love music in general, and am always up for hearing new things or seeing live bands. I love food and cooking, and in fact most of the reasons I have for wanting to visit all the places I do is because of the food! I love being outdoors exploring, finding new things, people and places. With actors in the family I also have an interest in writing and theatre, and especially film...in fact I have an active interest in the arts in general!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Animal House, Blazing Saddles, The Producers, Goodfellas, The Departed, I like a lot of Tarantino, good SciFi, like District 9, Moon, The Fifth Element. Basically, I love films and am open to watching pretty much anything of almost any genre. That goes for music too, though my favorites are such as Led Zep, The Band, Neil Young, The Strokes, The Kings of Leon. I also like a lot of more gentle stuff like Damien Rice, Iron and Wine and The Black Atlantic.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Para-sailing on the north island of New Zealand has got to be up there. 600 feet above a geothermal lake, able to see the top of a snow topped mountain with a hot sandy beach at its base is something I will remember for a good while. I was also amazed to be able to come over to Australia like I've always wanted to, to try and travel and hopefully begin my career here.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love music and art in general. I am a drummer, I have studied art and sculpture, I have dabbled in script writing, production, direction, acting, I love to cook, I love to learn and exchange. I am also known for verbosity, and certainly have a willingness to talk about anything that I may have an ability to, with anyone who is interested in hearing. I also have an equal willingness to listen.
