About Me

CURRENT MISSION

find the world and my place in it

ABOUT ME

Skinny lanky man with a beard and hair that has not been cut for over a year.

I grew up in the Chiltern hills and my interests in the natural world have been shaped by playing as a child in the woods and fields of my home village.

I have a brother and sister so i come from a family that always had something happening in it.
After school i studied land and environmental management at college, before volunteering on nature reserves. My occupation is as close to this i could get and still be payed by someone.

Now trying to live a d work in Australia, and am questioning my diet and its implications, decided to eat vegan till i have worked out what i think is ethical for me (what i decide is not the same as others, you must arrive at your own comfortable position).

PHILOSOPHY

Some good quotes, that say it about right -

you are only young once but you can be immature for ever.

To make tomorrow better than yesterday, for that we have been given today, the present, a gift.

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." Mark Twain

Smile and the world smiles back :)

Closed minds rust shut. Open your mind too much and your brain falls out!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

mostly socials and the odd surf, would like to hoast sometime but first i must have a couch!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

all positive, a few surfs, social meets, rideshares, travel buddies, and away weekends.

Interests

Life the universe and everything, finding the ultimate question and answer. 42?
Mostly seeing the world and challenging my perception of it.

The natural world, the amount of different shapes and types of life in the world is always inspiring.
Hiking seams to be the best way to experience it, so i do like hiking.

History, in most forms, human and natural (we cannot change the past but we can learn from the mistakes that have been made before).

Diving, under water is another world!
