About Me
CURRENT MISSION
"That I may understand whatever // Binds the world’s innermost core together..."
ABOUT ME
Wannabe polymath; semi-ambitious cook and fully committed eater; lover of bars; cyclist...
Always curious. Beyond that, I'm fond of bars and bookstores and have a Saturday routine of going to the farmer's market to buy produce and spending the afternoon cooking.
PHILOSOPHY
I guess I believe in sharing, and in giving more than you take.
Interests
Human behaviour (in particular, why we cooperate and why we fight), evolution, philosophy (esp. philosophy of science), the history, present, and future of science, cycling, and everything around the preparation and consumption of food and drinks.

Music, Movies, and Books
Although I'm not reading nearly as much as I used to (and would like to!), I thoroughly enjoy good literature. I am fascinated by stories of dedication and of people who find themselves in a state of exception; who have fallen outside the usual bonds of needs and wishes. Some of my favourite authors are Yasushi Inoue, J.M. Coetzee, Jeffrey Eugenides, Haruki Murakami, Orhan Pamuk, and Atiq Rahimi.
When it comes for music, I take a bit from here and there. I've brought Kino home with me from Russia and Zagar from Hungary; Bad Religion make me ready for a revolution and Cesaria Evora consoles me when it fails.
