About Me

In the past three and a half years, I’ve worked in the Swiss market, first in Lugano with Sketchin, a top-tier design consultancy serving international clients, and then in Zurich with GenTwo, a fintech company on a mission to bring a new generation of financial products to market. These experiences have deepened my ability to navigate complex, regulated environments while contributing to product strategy and user experience at a high level of ambition and quality.

Before that, I spent over a decade immersed in the Italian ecosystem, earning my M.Sc. at Politecnico di Milano and working with some of the country’s leading agencies and consultancies: Accenture, Design Group Italia, Logotel, Softec, and Motork. Throughout this journey, I had the opportunity to collaborate on key projects for major clients such as ABB, Allianz, Intesa Sanpaolo, Microsoft, and QVC, gaining a deep understanding of the cultural, organizational, and service-design dynamics that shape digital transformation in the country.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m starting a new job this Wednesday 10/09/2025 as a Human Centered Designer at Novartis HQ in Basel. I live in Zurich, but I’ll need to go to the office in Basel up to two days a week, so I’m using Couchsurfing to make these stays easier and to meet new people.

Interests

Outside of work, I reconnect with nature through trekking, skiing, and wake surfing where clarity, balance, and flow matter just as much as they do in design.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-- Ealry life in Rome (1990-2009) --

Born in 1990 in Rome, I took my first steps into the world of design at 18 when I navigated the artistic and cultural backdrop of Rome.

Growing up in Rome meant being surrounded by centuries of art, history, and architecture. Walking through Piazza Navona, the Capitoline Museums, or the MAXXI.

-- Bachelor years in London (2009-2013) --

From 2009 to 2013, London was my home, a place where I cultivated a deep passion for design, exploring lighting, interior, and industrial design. During these years, I earned a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Product Design from London South Bank University, a historic polytechnic founded in 1892.

Beyond academics, London shaped me in many ways. The creative energy of Shoreditch, Spitalfields Market, Liverpool Street, Embankment, and Elephant & Castle became my playground, not just for design but also for my love of house and techno music. I spent countless nights at legendary clubs like Fabric, Ministry of Sound, and Café 1001, experiences that still fuel my energy and drive today.

-- Master years in Milan (2013-2015) --

At 23, upon completing my degree, I felt drawn back to Italy by the allure of Made in Italy and Milan's international reputation. I pursued a Master's in Product Service System Design at Politecnico di Milano, an English-taught program with a highly international environment, predominantly attended by students from China and beyond.

Milan became the foundation of my career. The city's thriving startup scene and design culture ignited my passion even further. I actively participated in emerging creative communities, such as Creative Mornings Milan at Frog Design, and co-founded Service Design Drinks, a physical meetup space for service designers working across Milanese companies.

-- Work experiences in Milan (2015-2023) --

After my studies, I focused on designing digital products and services, diving into User Experience (UX), cognitive psychology, User Research, Service Design, and Design Thinking.

Over the years, I've had the opportunity to work in diverse environments, from startups and SMEs to multinational consulting. Some of the companies I've collaborated with include Sketchin, Softec, Design Group Italia, Accenture, and MotorK.

-- My current home in Zurich 2024-present --

As of 2025, with nearly a decade of experience, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and explore new opportunities in the Swiss market, settling in Zurich.

Today, I support individuals, startups, SMEs, and global organizations in crafting user-centered digital products and services, helping them achieve meaningful business goals.

Beyond design, I have a deep love for the outdoors - whether it's trekking, skiing, or wake-surfing whenever the waters of Lake Zurich allow.
