About Me

I am a very spontaneous and open minded girl. I love the unknown, so i'm looking forward to be surprised! I am extremely passionate about music (just released an album in February 2024) I sing, compose, write, play piano and guitare. I also love outdoor activities such as hiking, swimming, running and yoga. I am an enthusiastic person, and I hope to share my passions and stories with you!

Currently learning Portuguese, my goal is to become fluent! I am conversational but would love to practice more with other people! Queria praticar mais com outras pessoas! Sou apaixonado da cultura portuguesa, a boa comida, e da música brasileira!

When I was 19 years old, I decided to be adventurous and at 4am, I taped on my computer "cheap flights" and I booked one ticket to Puerto Rico for one month, alone. And I wanted to try couch surfing. All my friends and family were telling me how this was crazy, how there's hurricanes, how it's a poor place, how it's dangerous for a girl like me, how couchsurfing is the most irresponsible thing I could try. But still, I took the trip, and it was the most amazing experience ever! I met amazing people with different views than I did, different culture, and it made me more open-minded. Being alone wasn’t lonely! It made me opened to new friendships, thought me lessons about how we all are the same, fundamentally. I still live with this mentality: "All you ever wanted is on the other side of fear".

Also, here are my weaknesses (the good and the bad) because it is important for me to be honest and transparent with you! Note that when I travel I try to work on those things but sometimes I am...
-Spontaneous/disorganized
-creative/head in the clouds
-curious/ sometimes I ask too many questions
-optimistic/late
-sometimes I try to do/see everything at once, wake up super early because I suffer from fear of missing out haha or wake up super late because I’m a night owl.
-sometimes I just want to take my time, sleep a lot, enjoy conversations with a coffee, being relaxed.
-empathic/sensitive
-Indecisive and hard time taking decisions so I like to have suggestions!
-I have Adhd (Google it)

Basically a little stereotype of a musician :)

If those things you can tolerate, then fine! If not, it's also fine!

Also, just to clarify one of the messages of my previous hosts, Micheal. If my response seems cold and braggy, it wasn’t at all my intention.
Most of the host have been extremely warm and welcoming with me and I feel very grateful for those experiences. I never want to disrespect anyone who takes the time and a lot of energy to host people.

To host someone is to be very generous and opened so I never take any host for granted.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

it's a great way to meat new people and in the same time, discover a new culture, and new mentalities.
Staying at a hotel alone and in your little bubble of comfort is so sad. Life needs to be shared! "A stranger is a friend you haven't met yet!"
