Hello there! I'm Simone, let's get to know each other better:
I live and work in Madrid, Spain, in a beautiful and multinational neighborhood. I am a passionate educator, explorer, and writer.
I am energetic, open-minded, and adventuresome. I completely fell in love with traveling and meeting new people since first studying abroad in Argentina in 2013 and then moving to Spain after graduating in 2015. I love meeting new people, sipping on a glass of good wine and delving into a conversation with a close friend or a distant stranger.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe travel is done best when one can enjoy the company of people who live in the area you are visiting. I also enjoy working with my hands, cooking, and contributing to the well-being of a community, be it a hostel, farm, or family household; Couchsurfing is, therefore, a wonderful resource. I think it provides people from all walks of life a chance to converse, cook, and explore together under the same roof.

Favorite music: jazz, funk, soul, blues
Movies: anything Cohen brothers, Scorsese, Tarantino. I'll also gladly watch The Lord of the Rings whenever it's on.
Books: Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Isabel Allende, Haruki Murakami, and Zadie Smith, are among the many, many favorites. My current project is attempting to read the Harry Potter series in Spanish!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walking through the landscape of Timanfaya National Park in the Canary Islands, an experience I imagine is similar to that of walking on the surface of the moon.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am happy to converse in English and in Spanish, as well as help with cooking anything from burgers to sushi to thiebou! I would like to learn how to play guitar. I can share stories and company on any travels throughout your city!
