Hi! I am Simone and am from Los Angeles. In 2015, I spent 14 months out of the US on a research project about blood donation in different countries. I have also spent time working in global health, and am now pursuing a graduate degree in psychology. My favorite part about visiting new places is meeting people and spending time together, exchanging ideas and life experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was fortunate enough to use CS several times during my year-long trip and found it to be an incredible tool to meet people. I would love to pay it forward to others who are traveling on a budget and/or want to connect with "locals" :)

As cliche as it sounds, I love teaching, learning, and sharing. I am inherently curious and have followed this curiosity in many directions, which I enjoy sharing about. I also love hearing about others' experiences. I am an open person and I enjoy honest and open conversations with others more than almost anything in life. I believe that generosity and sharing with others is one of the most fulfilling acts and that exchange across "difference" of any kind enriches life.
