About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Istanbul is next on my list ! ! ! ;)

ABOUT ME

I've moved around a lot since I was a child. I don't have an official "hometown" so I feel at home in multiple countries and cities. It's important to me to keep in touch with my friends around the world. I'm very curious and like to discover new languages, cultures, and meet people when I'm travelling to get an authentic feel for the place. I like being spontaneous and trying out new things, I am pretty much up for anything! I love talking to open-minded people and having long philosophical discussions that go on into the night...:)

PHILOSOPHY

Life is short, you have to take every opportunity that comes your way. Give people a chance, you never know when they might surprise you. If it scares you, that's probably a good thing. Follow your gut and don't give into outside pressures. Intercultural exchange is the key to peace.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can't host anyone at the moment though I have done in the past and hope to again in the future. In the meantime, I would love to meet up with CSers sometime, someplace!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted some couchsurfers at my flatshare in Berlin. It was the first time I'd met anyone from Estonia so it was interesting to learn about their country and share our insider's knowledge of Berlin with them. I've also couchsurfed in Hamburg and returned the favour when my host came to Berlin.

Interests

I love being outdoors in the nature. Road trips and train travel are my favourite modes of transport. The best parts of travel are meeting fascinating people and hearing their stories and sharing our cultures with one another; going on photo journeys, and trying new food.
I spend a lot of time immersing myself in the arts! They help me deal with anything life throws my way. I write a lot, am a massive film buff and enjoy all types of music. I love the silence of art galleries.
Recently I have discovered spirituality and that as really opened my eyes and given me perspective on life.

Teach, Learn, Share

In Africa there is no such thing as health & safety. You've just gotta go with the flow!
Don't end up alone in a city with no accommodation, money or phone that works.
Don't get lost in a forest all night in a country with dangerous wild animals.
In Germany & Austria you can get fined for pretty much anything, so stick to the rules and open your mail!
Never walk along railway lines.
