ABOUT ME
I feel overwhelmed as to what I should write on my profile; I'm not a weirdo, I promise, just let me crash on your couch!
I fell in love with travel when I was 15. I asked my parents if I could live with my aunt and uncle in Canada and go to high school there. It was my first taste of a different culture, meeting new people and being out of my comfort zone... and I couldn't get enough! So, I spent the next summer in Cambodia building houses out of palm leaves and bamboo (legit). I had one more agonising year of high school left before I found a job teaching English in China and ran away without a return ticket.
PHILOSOPHY
Richard Dawkins pretty much nailed it with: "we are going to die, and that makes us the lucky ones. Most people are never going to die because they are never going to be born..."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Guily: couchsurfing virgin! I really like the concept though... especially now that I'm running out of money to spend on luxuries like a bed. If I ever have my own couch, you're more than welcome to surf it!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'll let you know.
Interests
Film, music, readin', writin', international development, environmentalism, equal rights, social justice... you know...
Music, Movies, and Books
I'm down with anything science-fiction or art-house.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Camping under the stars in the Australian outback - where you can see more than anywhere else in the world. It reminds me that we are just a speck of dust inside a giant's eye!
Teach, Learn, Share
An open-mind, a drink and a chat. Oh, and some mean Italian food!
Countries I’ve Visited
Australia, Cambodia, Canada, China, England, France, Germany, New Zealand, Spain, United States, Viet Nam
