Dreaming of travels to come. Currently living in Utrecht (Netherlands). From May up to mid August I will be traveling/volunteering/workaway in Colombia.

ABOUT ME

My name is Simone, 25. Currently, I am living in the Netherlands, but the first half of 2014 I have been traveling through Latin America, the best time of my life! In 2013, I studied as an Erasmus student in Aberdeen (Scotland). As you can imagine, I love new places and traveling. I would say I am quite independent, down to earth, flexible and curious. Besides, I live an active life as I am especially interested in sports. I love running and cycling (both for fun and in competition).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

While travelling in Latin America in 2014, I decided to give couch surfing a try, and it turned out well. Ever since, I have been hosted in Peru (Arequipa), Chile (Santiago), Argentina (Buenos Aires), Spain (Zaragoza & San Sebastian), Belgium (Leuven) and France (Paris). Moreover, together with a friend, we have been hosted in Macedonia (Skopje) for a couple of days.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydive in Argentina, Mendoza. I could see the Andes by the afternoon sun. Another moment of happiness was while hiking solo in Samaipata, Bolivia. Beautiful weather, stunning surroundings and interesting locals I bumped into during this hike made that I won't forget this any time soon.

Besides, I am specially interested in improving my Spanish (my Spanish is limited to tourist sentences now...)
