About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see the world, one person at a time.
ABOUT ME
I am a half Kiwi/half South African who has embarked on a mission to expand my thinking. A while back, I started to feel isolated, almost suffocated. It seemed everyone around me was so small minded- no one wanted to travel, or to meet new people, no one had time to learn other languages, or about other cultures. I made a rash decision to move to the other side of the world, still not exactly sure why, but I just knew I needed a change. I live in England for now, and I'm basically just out to experience as much as I can, meet new people, learn about the differences of humans that make us all so special and amazing. My mission statement is to see the world one person at a time, because I believe that it's all about the people. I don't want to just look at landmarks and scenery, I want to be right there with a native person...I want to know the history, the experiences, the joys and frustrations... I want to really see the world!
During my university years I was hosted by families when I was a boarder with them, and I realised just how special it is to be a part of someone's home and family. I'm sure couch surfing is the same!
PHILOSOPHY
Just do it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment I am travelling so cannot host, but feel free to contact me to meet up during the day, I'd love to meet you.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am new to couch surfing, and from the first time I heard about this community I fell in love with the whole thing- many great experiences to come!!
Interests
Two of the most important things to me are travelling and studying. I'm currently studying toward becoming a TEFL teacher. And currently travelling around the UK! Also, I love...eating!! (Especially trying foods from different cultures) Dancing will always be a passion, working hard, making clothes, coffees with friends, going to the movies, eating, learning languages, loud music (mainly folk) markets and vintage shops, reading, tasting wine, extreme sports (so far I've done bungee, skydiving and white water rafting), learning a new skill, being cheeky, living the simple life...did I say eating??

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Giving away everything I own (except a few small boxes) and moving by myself to the other side of the world for no real reason other than I wanted an adventure!
Also, those types of activities that I was so nervous to do at the time, but the feeling of conquering my fear was amazing! Sky diving...Bungee...
