I'm Simon, I'm 23 and I come from a town in Ireland called Wexford. I'm living in Leipzig in Germany right now.
I'm a pretty open person and I'm always interested to learn. I'm always looking for a new perspective! I love to meet new people who are doing interesting things and to visit new places.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Staying with a host shows you a side of the person and the place which you probably wouldn't have seen otherwise and helps you get to know them better. The times I've learned most about others is when I've stayed at their place. You get to experience a much more authentic and personal side of the place you are and feel less of an observer and more a participant.

Centres d'intérêt

I love to read, any kind of genre but I love science fiction.
I listen to music almost constantly, love to play guitar and just bought myself a mandolin which is really fun to learn.
I run regularly. I think it's a nice way to explore a city. I also love to cycle.
I studied medicine and I'm hoping to work in internal medicine. I would love the opportunity at some stage to work with an organisation like MSF in a disadvantaged country.

Books- I love to read almost anything but lately I've been reading Haruki Murakami, Neil Stephenson, Philip K Dick, David Foster Wallace.
Movies- Hard to say which are my favourite movies but I love slightly surreal and allegorical movies. I'm a fan of stanley kubrick, wes anderson, david lynch
Music- A friend told me recently "there's no such things as bad weather, only the wrong clothes, the same applies to music"
