About Me

Hello,

my name is Simon and I was born und raced up in Schenna, a small village near Merano, in South Tyrol, which is the northeast region of Italy, close to Austria and tree hours to Germany.

At first an IMPORTANT thing: even if the website shows that I´m from Bolzano or near Bolzano: I´m one hour (!) car-drive away from this city. I can host you in Schenna on my home in the mountains (1.450m !!) or in the city Merano, but NOT in Bolzano. You can achieve Merano by train or bus (better train) and Schenna by bus. I´ll pick you up in Schenna or maybe in Merano, if I should be there at the moment.

If I´m not traveling by myself, I´m working as a primary school teacher (master degree) or/and as a waiter in my area. I like to be the contact with people, especially children (it is a great gift!), I love going and hanging out with my friends and having fun. During the whole year I love to hike in the mountains, being outside and spending time in the nature. I prefer skiing in the winter, biking and swimming in the summer. I know the area around Merano well, so it would be fun to go on a hike together.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The first reason why I´m doing CS is the cultural exchange. I love to get to know new people, new lifestyles, new ways of thinking, having nice talks. I´m looking forward to get to know some typical things of any culture, speaking another language, etc. It would be great, if we can hike or cook together, for sure it depends always on my working schedule. So if you are only looking for a sleeping place without having a social time, better ask someone else.
