About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To not die on my first couch surfing adventure
ABOUT ME
Food, friends and random fun facts are a few of my favourite things (I suppose raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens are alright too). Gin and tonic is my go to drink, but I love a good scotch (when I can afford it), and Innis and Gunn also has a place in my heart. (I swear I'm not a booze-aholic...)
Currently am learning the ukulele (everything sounds so much more chill on the uke) and improve my golf game (such a frustrating, ridiculous money-guzzling game...and yet I can't stay away).
I think bow ties are awesome and need to find their way back into fashion. I have a penchant for fire, fireplaces, fire pits and camp fires. I enjoy camping and hiking equally as much as fine dining and schmoozy cocktail parties. I recently decided our family van didn't have enough mileage so I drove it across Canada with some friends. Throwing myself down the side of a mountain/skiing both terrifies and exhilarates me. Is anyone still reading this? Shoot me a message and let's chat!
PHILOSOPHY
"Do not forget small kindnesses and do not remember small faults"
I try not to take myself too seriously, but sometimes I seem OCD

Music, Movies, and Books
I generally like alt rock or indie stuff (except I think most of the indie stuff I listen to has become main stream, so is it still indie?)
Bands I listen to right now: Bastille, Of Monster and Men, Imagine Dragons, Two Door Cinema Club, Mumford and Sons, Hey Rosetta, Capital Cities, Awolnation
Movies that I liked that I can recall off the top of my head: Bourne trilogy, V for Vendetta, Perks of being a Wallflower (I'm sure there are others...)
Shows that I like: BBC's Sherlock, Community, Modern Family
Books include: The Count of Monte Cristo (Dumas), Better (Gawande), The Emperor of All Maladies (Mukherjee)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I will never forget crawling out of a tent on a beach in Hawaii at sunrise.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach/Share - Cooking/food, things about immunology and microbiology
Learn - Who wants to teach me German or Italian? Also, who wants to help expand my music tastes?
FYI when I say I speak beginner Polish, I mean I know a few words. But feel free to help me improve!
