ABOUT ME

It's not me alone. I live and travel together with lovely Saartje the midwife.
I am a nurse. When I Was 15 I travelled with my parents to Indonesia. Since then I understand the magic of travelling. When I was 17 I went together with a friend and my father to Thailand, Cambodia and Laos.
Since then I have been studying for nurse on the school where I met Saartje and fell in love. Two months after our passionate start of our adventure she went on stage to Rwanda for almost 3 months.
We studied tropical medicine and are now on our way to India.

PHILOSOPHY

Everything is impermanent. Suffering is the effect of attaching to impermanent things. Equanimity brings happiness, meditation brings happiness. Now is happiness, not the past, nor the future.
knowing this, I try to find balance in living this.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Untill now we have only been guests and had only great experiences. the few times we were asked to host we weren't able. We hope we can do it in the future.
But we won't be home before 2011.

For finding hosts we sometimes send many requests. Sometimes we get more than one option to stay over at a time, than we have to choose. It is not really fair to the ones who host, but we hope you understand that it is often very difficult to find a host on time. We always answer every mail. We have great respect for the couchsurfing community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have couchsurfed in Check Republic. It was a great experience. Still a little uncomfortable with the generosity. We are very thankfull.
We haven't been able,up to now, to host someone.
