About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My mission, wow, that's a question. I suppose my mission is to make a difference in the world, a positive impact whether through being a teacher or my future goals of being a development planner.

ABOUT ME

Hmm, read the rest for now, this is a rather broad question for now! :P

I am quite a succinct, laconic person and really like to listen, more than to talk. However if it is something I feel passionate about I will certainly let myself be known.

PHILOSOPHY

Philosophies ayyyy...
Life's all about stories, the more stories you can tell the better the life you've had.
I feel I am a very liberal person believing we can all work on what we want and do it working towards a better world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to do it all! To meet and socialise, to stay with people when I am travelling in order to get a local's vision of the places I visit as well as to practise the language and then of course to reciprocate, I love to show people round although something I have from my mother is to be quite a fussy host, always making sure the guest is ok!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not much so far, just joined, but in general "life couch surfing experience" I love it. Don't get me wrong I love a comfy bed but for me the couch surfing experience is all about the people you meet and experiences you have.

Interests

Oh my! A bit of everything really, music, keeping healthy despite the disgustingly sweet tooth, reading (if I had to choose a genre it would be dystopian fiction), teaching; I do love my job despite the frustrations, socialising, travelling (of course), studying; I love learning and discovering new things. I could go on and on really!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Gladiator, Star Wars, to be honest, I love films and an eclectic mixture however this is something that I don't really think about much these days!
Music, Muse, I. LOVE. MUSE. Their 2nd Law tour in DF was the best gig I have ever been to. The Strokes, the XX, The Beatles, and then anything I can dance like a fool to, MJ, Daft Punk etc, a wide range really.
Books, I do like to read although I feel I rarely have time. I like dystopian stories, so F. 451, The Time Machine, 1984 etc. My favourite book I've read in the past year is probably A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness, jeez that one got me!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ah man, I've been quite lucky really, Israel was an experience, cycling through Vietnam and Cambodia, going to a rural Thai Wedding, travelling all over Mexico (Copper Canyon being a highlight), Christmas in NY, Christmas in Rome and the Vatican on Christmas Day (although not religious) just an experience to name some of it :)Let's face it, you can't just pick one!

Teach, Learn, Share

I think what it says below is pretty spot on! It's the experience, I can't think of anything specific although I do consider myself a pretty good English teacher.
