About Me
Hello, valued Reader. This is Simon. Simon, say hello to our Friend.
- Camera is zooming in onto the rapidly moving black dot in the far. As distance decreases, more and more details loom large. The wild haired young man is waving his hands excitedly. He seems to be happy. -
Simon grew up in Küb. That's a little village in the lower reaches of the alps, only an hour away from Vienna. He is the youngest of 10 children and had to assert himself. But these years in Küb also shaped his life, to become, if you ask me - the very objective narrator - , a social and openminded being. Just look. I always instantly get the feeling of petting him. Good Simon.
- The Camera settles to capture a view of Simon's face. An adorable but slightly cheeky grin is peeking through the prominent mustache. -
Simon likes music and acting - passively as actively. He can play a few instruments and is annoying his friends with constant humming and beating. Hey Simon, would you like to sing a song for our visitor?
- Simons eyes are filled with excitement. Laaaalalaaaalalalalalaaaaa... La.... -
Ookay. Okay, thats enough!
Little sim is curious. Roughly about everything. That's why travelling became an important part of his life. But it also urged him to study how this world works. At university he enrolled classes in physics, astronomy, biology and philosophy. Solving puzzles became his devotion.
- Simon is nodding vividly. The Camera takes a run and suddenly enters his nose. -
Now lets take a look inside.
- Thousands of incarnate memories rush around and fuel big water wheels mounted to the central neural system. -
Oh. Oh, do you see that. That's Simon's lovely girlfriend. Oh, and that, that was his highly admired biology-teacher. And there, uh, that wicked bully from school. You see, it is a highly organized place. Well at least, if it has visitors.
- The screen goes black -
So lets stop our investigation for now. I think it is enough for a first glimpse and who knows, maybe you will also become a memory one day. Simon will have an open mind for you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
All the world is about sharing. Elementary particles share their energetic budget, animals share their food, planets share the sun, cornflakes share a bowl and we share our homes. It is one of the most natural things to do and I think we should stick with it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
'Amazing' is always quite a relative thing, but I once dressed as a snowdrop for carnival. That was pretty awesome.
