Overview
About Me
I am half-American half-German and grew up in Munich, Germany. I am finishing up my studies in Philosophy & Economics and want to explore new parts of the world before trying to study a ecologically and socially responsible economics subject, that doesnt mainly refer to just some numbers or GDP.
I like to live spontaneously and see what the day offers me. The same for traveling. If I am visiting somewhere I don't want to check of the highlights, but meet the people living there. I love playing and listening to music. I rather have the knack for rhythm. I love to dance, too, and was told I am good at it, but I wouldn't be able to teach steps. I like every sports including a ball. I love to philosophize and discuss about politics, society, culture and religion. Looking forward to fun talks!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think Couchsurfing was just the normal way of travelling before commercial tourism with hostels and hotels. I really like how Couchsurfing is reviving the value of hospitality
or as a nice German word translated literally calls it "guest-friendship".
It is also just a great way to learn things about the culture and country and to make new friends.
HOW I PARTICIPATE
I am looking forward to hosting once I am in a great city. I don't think any CS ever got lost in the tiny town I am living in.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
17.01.2017 Philippines; Thanks Nathan!
Music, Movies, and Books
Any kind of music preferably Blues, Rock, Hip-Hop, Techno and Indie. Top of the list: Chilli Peppers, Beatles and Kendrick Lamar. I watch independent movies probably most of the time, but I could never agree on a favorite movie. Favourite books: Catcher on the rye, On the road, Infinite Jest.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I took the train through Siberia on my way to Asia. I didn't know how much you could learn living with the passengers for 7 days in a train, without being able to communicate verbally.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love discussing, talking or philosophizing about anything. And I am good at listening.
I have some mediocre jamming skills on the piano and e-bass.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Cambodia, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Greece, Italy, Japan, Mongolia, Philippines, Poland, Russian Federation, Scotland, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Turkey, United Kingdom
Countries I’ve Lived In
