ABOUT ME

I'm currently 32 years old and live in Marietta GA where I own and operate a thriving IT consulting firm. I started the company at 23 years old and without any education other than what I learned on Google. Born and raised in America I grew up in Texas and went to 9 different schools by the time I was 16 (I guess that's where I got my traveling spirit from). I got my GED at 16 and decided to I was ready to start living my life.

As an adult I've worked in many industries. My career actually began when I was about 12 years old and worked summer jobs with my dad in a printing company. When I quit school I got my first real job in warehousing where I was an order puller for a nuts and bolts company. From there I did it all. I worked in construction, Framing and electrical. I've done Roofing, operated many different types of heavy equipment, worked on a ranch for a couple of years where I learn to weld and tend to animals. I moved into the corporate sector at about 22 years old and spent some time working in offices and learning how to be professional. Also worked many warehouse jobs where I learn to drive forklift and do Logistics.

I've been overseas a couple of times, Haiti and Dominican Republic were my first destination over seas and then a scuba trip in the Bahamas.

PHILOSOPHY

Our lives on earth are temporary and a gift. If we seek wisdom and find it we will be blessed on earth and in heaven, but if we deceive ourselves and chase after the things of this world we will find only pain and suffering.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been a bit of a nomad for the most part of my life and in the last few years have been in one place the whole time. I joined Couchsurfing a while back but recently have decided to begin traveling again. My goal for 2017 is to travel around the United States and visit as many metropolitan cities as possible. This is going to be quite expensive and so sleeping on couches is something I will have to do. I'm also using Couchsurfing as a means for meeting new people and developing new relationships around the country. It is my belief that alone a person can accomplish little but together we can accomplish much.

Interests

I'm really interested in Computers and Mechanics. I have a motorcycle and I love to travel and meet new people. Life is too short to sit around and wait for stuff to happen. I would rather go out and make things happen!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So far I've seen the grand canyon and niagra falls which were awesome, but the most amazing thing I've seen is the Little Sahara State Park in Oklahoma. I guess the reason that was so much fun was because I was so young and it was my first memory of traveling and meeting new friends. I also saw a ghost! SCARY!
