About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live it kindly

ABOUT ME

Hey hey Couchsurfing community! I have spent the last 6 years or so living and teaching abroad. I just finished my teaching contract in Saudi Arabia and I am in a transition period. I just got to Cuenca to study Spanish and am loving it so far! I've met some really kind people. I'd love to meet more!

PHILOSOPHY

live it! Give what you want to receive. Let go of what is too heavy, expectations and fears, and enjoy the ride!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted for a year in Phuket, Thailand and some in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. I've done some surfing in northern Thailand as well. I was pretty active in Chiang mai events and miss the CS culture.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Overall, my CS experiences have left a worthy and sweet taste on me old tongue. There are some really kind and genuine people out there! Love it.

Interests

Being interested! I bet you can guess that I like to travel, learn about cultures, and meet new people :) I really like silliness, puzzles, playing, karaoke, all games, cycling, cooking, walking, massage, being outside, hiking, yoga, learning new things, languages, eating lots of food, and pretty much anything random. In a social setting, I would much rather be with small group of good people in a chilled setting rather than a large club or loud bar any day.

Music, Movies, and Books

good ones.

Music- Folky, Bluegrassy, Jazzy and Jammy. Oh and Hip hop.
Movies- I like foreign films, historical fiction, artsy fartsy films and rom coms : )
Books- I just read the "Glass Castle" and loved it. I dig memoirs.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

lived a day and really experienced it for all that it was worth.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach best by asking other people questions. I will try to limit them, but I hope you don't mind a few.

I'd like to learn oh so many things. On the top of my current list: vinification, candle making, spanish, how to play the guitar, and perhaps how to stick to a budget.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to cook for people. I can share my experience teaching abroad and some travel experiences.

Countries I’ve Visited
