Hello, world! Solo traveller, here
Double vaccinated and ready to explore

I'm close to graduating with a Criminology BA from SFU and I volunteer at a women's shelter. I've been jobless off and on for the past year, but had worked in the restaurant industry as a server and bartender for over 5 years!

I've travelled quite a few places, but that's been on stand still thanks to COVID... Would love to do more solo travel and get my bucket-list trips done while I have the time and ability :)

Love to share experiences and learn from others, we have a lot to learn from each other!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I will be backpacking coast-to-coast, primarily by train, starting in Halifax May 1 and making stops in major cities along the way back to Vancouver.

I have some couch surfing experience, just not through this platform. Couch surfing definitely adds a level of depth to the places I visit beyond what I can explore myself, I've only ever had positive experiences and expect nothing less!

I can't wait to meet new people from across the country! Give me a reason as to why I should move out to your city once I've graduated :D

Open to hang outs and day trips, I appreciate any advice or hidden gems across the country :) Cheers x

MUSIC - Mostly listen to R&B, soul and soft rock from the 90s-00s era (aka, the best era of music ;) )

MOVIES/TV SHOWS - Recently been very big into international films/shows, especially Korean dramas lol

BOOKS - highly recommend From the Ashes by Jesse Thistle, other favourites include Great Expectations (Charles Dickens), Girl on the Train (Paula Hawkins), Da Vinci Code (Dan Brown) and Blindness (Jose Saramago)

I run a social media initiative called The SOS Project to raise awareness about homelessness in Vancouver!

I've volunteered over 200 hours of my time to help vulnerable women and children in my community, and very passionate about it!

Will be chopping off and donating 10 inches of my luscious locks before my cross-Canada trip... :o

One thing I've learned from travelling is that we can learn the most about life just by learning from each other, life stories are worth sharing! We are all the same yet so different in our ways :)
