Overview
About Me
My name is Sinan, and I am a laid-back geek, sort of like the oblivious scientist stereotype in pop culture.
As a full time food photographer, I have a lot of restaurant advice to give, and am interested in exchanging home cooking lessons as well.
I also run a game development business with my brothers.
I was born and raised in Jeddah in relative isolation with 80s American video games and TV, so people coming from there may find me relatable to a degree.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Partly to exchange cooking lessons, and partly because I have so much restaurant advice to give as a full time food photographer.
Interests
I have always enjoyed seeking sophisticated cooking techniques for achieving better tastes and textures, and am looking forward to exchange this knowledge in the form of home cooking lessons with others.
I'm also obsessed with photography, my main line of work.

Music, Movies, and Books
My most favored music would be 60s to 80s rock, 80s jazz fusion, and jazz from across the eras. I hate modern pop.
I'm very critical with movies, but will usually enjoy anything with substance good or bad. This means that I find great pleasure in the sophisticated drama of Pride and Prejudice and in the absurd macho action sequences of Jason Statham alike.
I'm a big fan of Blizzard's franchises and Masamune Shirow's Ghost in the Shell and Appleseed.
I also founded http://WoWLoreTLDR.com
I have also been a gamer since the days of the MSX/Commondore 64, through Nintendo's revival of the industry, id Software's forming of the FPS genre, and up until MOBAs unfolded (god bless Valve's remake of Dota). Titanfall 2 is my favorite shooter.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Standing on and peeking off the edges of stone cliffs in Petra and the southern peninsula of Bali (50-100 meters high each).
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to make a top 10% Italian pizza.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Have I mentioned my grade A+ Italian pizza? If you have an oven. If not, well, stoves can make grade C pizzas.
