About Me

I'm an Australian on a Gap year. Keen to see as much of Europe and the U.K. as possible in 365 days!
Although I currently cannot host I am more than happy to host once I move back to Australia (January 2017 onwards)!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm all for seeing cities through the eyes of the locals, not just doing all the touristy stuff. I believe travel isn't just about the places you see or the attractions you visit. Travel is about meeting new people, understanding different cultures and exploring the special corners of the world you don't see in magazines. What better way to do so than to stay with a local??
I am forever excited to meet new people from different backgrounds with unique stories. Couch surfers seems like the perfect way to do it!

I also absolutely love having guests and hosting people. I constantly had exchange students, friends, neighbours and relatives staying in my house all through school.
Once I am back home, I would love to host backpackers like myself, and show them the sights: The hidden back alleys with the best restuarants, the tucked-away and pristine beaches no one every visits, the side of the city not all tourists see.

Interests

Music (I love to play the violin, guitar, piano and sing!), art galleries, nature, cute little streets, cafés with good hot chocolate (lots of marshmallows), meeting new people and most importantly, dogs (in every size, colour and shape; dogs are the best).

Music, Movies, and Books

I'll listen to any music at all (I love all of it!), but a bit of John Mayer or Ben Howard never goes astray. I could read Deltora Quest or the Cherub series a million times but also loving Tim Winton and Liane Moriarty. To be honest, anything with words and a storyline is enough. As for movies, I'll watch it if it doesn't have Adam Sandler in it

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being only 18, perhaps the most impressive achievement is the fact that I am now living on the other side of the world, away from my family, for an entire year.
I'm completely open to new experiences and I'd love to think that during this year I'll do a whole lot more amazing things.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm easy-going, I clean up after myself and I don't smoke or drink alcohol.
Plus, I make some good jokes once every few years and I'm trained in baking choc-chip cookies for 40 children, a.k.a. I will bake you cookies (who doesn't like choc chip cookies?).
