关于我
I'm Sinead, a Canadian writer who loves nature. I'm currently living in Glenorchy, Otago babysitting, gardening and creating in paradise. Come end of November my New Zealand visa will expire and I'd like to spend my Kiwi days hiking during the day and read the classics by a fire at night.
I'm bubbly but I quite enjoy my time to reflect. I love people and animals, I love cooking and baking equally, though baking gluten-free of late has proved a worthy challenge. I'm a pseudo-intellect, half-introverted half-extroverted. I love great songwriters like Joni Mitchell and Van Morrison; I’ve been told my songs sometimes sound like a smoky glass of wine. I like to ride my bike and move my body. I'll be turning 27 at the end of May, hoping to make the next quarter century of my life a healthy and meaningful one by cultivating mindful habits and surrounding myself with loving people. I’m a bit of a hippie.
Although I’ve studied quite a bit in school, I’m now looking to self-education in the areas of naturopathy, meditation and poetry. I also have a growing interest in plants and their medicinal properties, most recently in the power of tea, a delicious and warming edification to say the least. I hope to further my understanding of food and drink by doing some organic farm work, cooking for my new and old family and sharing a good glass of whiskey, wine or something entirely new.
My friends call me “on-the-verge-vegetarian,” as my conscience seemingly swirls my stomach on the rare occasion I eat meat. Apparently, it’s just a matter of time. I am grain and sugar free at the moment, a feat that wavers from week to week.
I’m currently a nanny; I adore children and am unafraid to get my hands dirty. That said, I’ve also acquired a taste for having things neat and tidy so I can function when I come home. I love gardening and have had a ball planting veggies and herbs here in Glenorchy, though it was a really weird season weather wise.
Let me know if you're interested in having someone like me come live with you. If so, I'd love to have a tea and chat sometime.
Best,
Sinead
