About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My current mission is to travel to as many places as I can and to meet many wonderful people
ABOUT ME
I dream of seeing the world, learning about other cultures, and making great friends from all over.
I like food, laughter, wine, and sometimes all three at once.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My friends have done CS and raved about their experiences, so I figured it was high time that I tried it out. I hate isolated, touristy, hotel experiences. I am looking for something more natural and sincere. I think CS is how I can find that personal connection that is often so lacking in the way some approach travel these days.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven't yet had a couchsurfing experience. I have stayed in hostels before and enjoyed meeting people and going on adventures.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: not picky-- I like pop music, indie folk, rock. I also have a love of musicals
Books: Harry Potter is pretty swell.
Movies: Lord of the Rings, Scott Pilgrim, Bridget Jones, Secret Garden and anything that is a musical
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiking Mount Fuji! What can I say? Seeing the sun rise at 4AM from the top of that peak was something I can barely put into words, and the slog up the hill definitely tested some of my physical and mental limits. I learned a lot about friendship and my own willpower during that hike.
When I was 22 I went dog sledding in Algonquin Park. I am afraid of dogs so it was really a special experience to trust them to lead me through the snow.
I've taught English in Japan, Taiwan, and Korea and my experiences in teaching students are so valuable to me.
Teach, Learn, Share
I don't have anything specific that I can teach, other than random things I know from my travels and from my career as an English teacher.
I do teach my friends to cook sometimes, so if you want to learn something we can try it together!
I can teach you whatever I can about Canada, and even a little bit about the other countries I've been to!
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Canada, China, Germany, Ireland, Malaysia, Myanmar, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, United States, Viet Nam
Countries I’ve Lived In
