I promised my self to be brave what it comes to listening my inner voice, no matter how scary it sounds. That's what I have been doing. So far that brought my love and peace with myself and with universe.

I am an artist and PhD researcher who recently based in Lisbon. I am from Turkey. I love that all people are soooo different! That is where I belong: our differences. This idea of the 'other' and 'otherness' interests me quite a lot. And it's part of my project and research topic.

I am happy to meet different people, culture, language, food and stories. I am doing a photography project where I tell the story of the 'other'. It is a big topic but it's very important part of what I do. And I am a guest in this world eager to experience the world.

I believe if we invest more into 'being' then 'having' we will be more happy.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I believe in human. Everyone has a story, knowing their names does not mean we know them unless we know their stories. I think life is a learning process, there are a lot ways of learning. Reading, travelling, seeing, experiencing, feeling and listening. And couch surfing definitely serves these in many ways.

I am in couch surfing first because it was a very economical way of travelling. Then I continued with it, because I had amazing friendships after many years that started during the experience of couch surfing. It is safe and it brings amazing people to my life.
