About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travel the world one couch at a time
ABOUT ME
I am a high school English teacher in the Ardennes region of France (bordering Belgium). My passion lies in the Arts-I direct operas, currently I am working on a fun new production of La Boheme. Also, I am a stage manager and teaching artist.
In addition to opera and theatre, I am an extra in film and television. Some of my credits include: Betrayal, Sirens, and Divergent.
When I'm not working on some new creative endeavor I can be found in the kitchen (I LOVE TO COOK!) or exploring cities/neighborhoods/countries. I enjoy getting to know new people through a cup of coffee, glass of wine, or stein of beer. I am outgoing, respectful, cheerful, organized, friendly, and in general really easy to get along with.
In every town I visit I love to check out the local culture and food scenes.
PHILOSOPHY
Try everything once, then decide if you like it or not.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am up for meeting locals (for a cup of coffee, glass of wine, beer, museum, etc...) in the towns I visit and getting to experience what makes this world unique.
If you are ever in the Ardennes and would like to discover more about Sedan or this region, I would be more than happy to take you on a tour.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven't tried couchsurfing myself, but I have met up with a friend who was hosting a couchsurfer. He was really nice and funny. We all met up for burgers and drinks. There he told us about his home country (Germany) and what he was excited to do in Chicago. Overall he was a very laid back, go with the flow type of guy and definitely up for trying new things. It's cool to be able to meet people from around the world, learn from various cultures and different perspectives, and be able to share a little bit of what makes your town unique with others.
Interests
In my free time I enjoy traveling, exploring, attending various performances (theatre, music, dance, art, museums, sports activities), having a good time, and making the most out of every opportunity.
