About Me
Hmm so who am I. A question I've been asking myself for a long long time and still have no clue. All my friends would probably come up with different adjectives and views about my personality as I might be a bit of a chameleon. But here goes nothing!
As a person I'm very easy going and laid back, meaning I tend not to take things too seriously (might be the reason I'm still attending Uni at this age..). I love to laugh and tell (bad) jokes, which to some people translates to me being quite sarcastic and them getting offended. Trust me, it's never my intention to be an idiot, it's just in my genes (yep, always blame the parents!). I have no problem saying sorry tho and do so whenever it's required. I also talk a lot, for some reason I'm not good with silences so will sometimes just go on and on about random stuff that makes absolutely no sense. But don't worry, I am also a good listener and enjoy hearing interesting stories, views, opinions, hopes and dreams, whatever, I'm not picky. Just don't try to force your beliefs on me, I respect your choices and expect the same from others. I am happy eating meat, like to drink alcohol and do not believe in The Man Above (and if these things result in me ending up in eternal Hell then so be it). One saying I did pick up from the Bible which I try to live by; treat people the way you'd like to be treated. Love that one. You rub my back I will rub yours ;)
What the heck am I on about. Eh.. Anyhow, I'm always on the lookout for new experiences and definitely enjoy travelling and establishing new relationships. I've lived overseas for years and have met awesome people that have taught me a lot about absolutely everything, but mostly about what's really important. There's nothing more heartwarming than meeting fellow backpackers that are as broke as you are and everybody's scraping up for money to come up with a shared meal together (okay lobster isn't too bad either but gotta face it, noodles are the shizzle!). I totally miss the hostel life, sharing truly is caring and rock beats scissors.
As said before I do like my drink and enjoy trying new local beers, wines and the lot. I know how to party but can definitely also be civilized and have a few social ones just for the occasion. Chilling out and having a quiet night in is always welcome too, I'm very adaptable. Museums, art galleries etc are not really my thing but I enjoy walking around and taking in the scenery, aka getting to now the "real" city. Oh and I love basketball, played it for years when I was younger (yes I'm tall, surprise!) Can't wait for my home country to host the games in 2017. See you there!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm totally in love with this "community" and its open and welcoming attitude. It's quite rare to find people ready to share their homes with basically strangers these days, which is obviously understandable with all the crazies and whatnot out there (trust me, if I want a toaster I will go buy one).
I am new to Couchsurfing and hence only have one previous experience, which was amazing and left me with the confidence to try it again. I definitely hope to meet like-minded people that will broaden my knowledge towards other cultures and lifestyles. When I finally get my own place that allows me to host I will welcome you with open arms!

Music, Movies, and Books
I like books that are based on true stories (even tho they make my life seem boring as heck..).
Shantaram - a book about a prisoner that escaped. It's hilarious, exciting and absolutely crazy!
The Game - about pickup artists that were pretty damn good at what they were doing. Apparently girls aren't allowed to read it, whoops!
Movies - the ones with a twist that surprises the viewer. Or basically any movie with an ending that's not one of the crappy happy ones seen coming from miles away.
Off the top of my head; The 6th sense, lucky number slevin, the butterfly effect..
Music - anything goes EXCEPT jazz and the kind of heavy metal with no understandable lyrics. You also won't see me enjoying a musical or the opera.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Geeh.. Graduated from highschool? :D
Okay so did the highest bungee jump in New Zealand!! I nearly wet myself. Take my word; don't do one if you're drunk / hangover.
Teach, Learn, Share
They say that if you go ice swimming the outside air will feel warm when you come back up. No, it does not. Not even after the second time.
I'm always happy to learn new anything. Can't cook to save my own life but am an expert in boiling water for noodles. My mom must be proud...
