Resumen
Sobre mí
CURRENT MISSION
To make this world a better place of course! :-)
ABOUT ME
I love meeting new people and relish any opportunity to travel and learn more about other cultures and countries. I am generally open and friendly and try to be open-minded, understanding and tolerant of different views and beliefs. I treasure my family and love teaching and learning too. I am interested in languages. I feel very blessed in life and hope to share it with others. I believe in the Golden Rule: Treat others as one would wish to be treated.
PHILOSOPHY
Fall in love, stay in love and it will decide everything.-Fr. Pedro Arrupe, SJ
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Ten years ago, I was a member of a similar CS website and started hosting travelers at my place in Manila. I enjoyed the enriching experience and cultural exchange. I hope to gently introduce my family into hosting, learn from other people and hope to expand our circle of friends.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
No couch-surfing experience yet. Soon, I hope.:-)
Intereses
I am fascinated by people and their different ways of living their lives. I am always touched and inspired by stories of love and hope and survival and try to do my share to make the world a better place.
I am a very busy working mother and wife and spend most of my free time with my family. Our shared passion is TRAVELLING. When I do have the time for myself, however, I love to indulge in the luxury of SLEEP!:-) I do like to read, write, draw or paint and visit museums and galleries on the side. I collect children's books, sea glass and miniature paintings or traditional weaving/articles of clothing from places I go to. I love learning from others about their work and passion experiencing them vicariously as I could only do so much during my lifetime.

Música, películas y libros
I listen to whatever strikes my fancy or suits my mood. I love watching movies that make me think or laugh or cry (yup, romantic comedies included). I read ANYTHING but tend to go for non-fiction books and periodicals.
Algo increíble que he hecho
The first time I traveled alone and hiked up to see the rice terraces in Batad, Ifugao, Phiippines. It was a powerful experience finally seeing the emerald green terraces and thatch-roofed huts in the village. I realised how determined human beings could be to improve and survive wherever they are. I simply resonated with that thought.
When my husband and I found ourselves wanting to travel like the locals in Thailand and actually got a bit lost, the passengers tried to help us despite the language barrier. It made me believe that people are generally good and altruistic.
When I visited Zermatt and saw the Matterhorn for the first time, I was so dumbstruck by its beauty that I was inspired and convinced to go on a five hour gruelling trek up a mountain. It made me appreciate nature in a deep and profound way.
