Über mich

CURRENT MISSION

To destroy/rebuild my perspective of the world, again and again and again.

ABOUT ME

I'm very curious and love to experience new places and people. There's always more to learn! Life is good, and it's best when lived in a simple way, avoiding the busy stress that so easily distracts us. I lived one year in Switzerland as an exchange student and lived in Brazil since January of 2008, learning Portuguese, studying at the university, and teaching English. I have a passion to see the world and what it has to offer. Mainstream tourism and fancy resorts can be overrated, and we'd much rather see each country at the most authentic local level.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is about soaking in what it has to offer, never getting to caught up in the little meaningless moments, and being productive in living out its purpose. It's all just a quick passing, so don't worry! Hakuna Matata!

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I fell asleep in a train in Switzerland once. No one woke me up at the last stop, and I was awoken by three guys dressed in orange jump suits at 4 in the morning. It was at the beginning of my exchange year, so I had no idea what they were saying. I soon figured out that I was in the garage where the trains are kept at night. Not even knowing if I was in the right city, I starting wandering around to find my way home. About two hours later I arrived back to my host family's house. It was pretty awesome.

Trips are pretty cool when everything goes well, but they're usually even better when unexpected speedbumps arise. That two hour walk from the train garage to my house was one of the best times of my life. Of course, I was up just two hours later to jump on another train into the Alps... the adventure never ends.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

Everyone has something to teach. Everyone has something to learn. We've just gotta open up and talk to each other! Never be too stubborn to learn. We're all ignorant to something.
