About Me

My name is Siri and I'm a Malmö native. I live in a part of Malmö called Lorensborg with my two year old. On the days I have my son with me we enjoy playing together in the park, building little worlds with legos and playing lava floor. When I have time for just my self I try to see friends and family, start new crafting projects or lift heavy stuff.

I'm working as a wood working teacher for middle school children and it is the best, and most challenging, job I've ever had. I enjoy wood working, knitting and other type of crafty things as well as meeting friends for drinks. When i have time I also like to cook and right now I'm taking a korean cooking class.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I used to couch surf a lot when i was travelling New Zealand in 2011 and I'm finally at a time in my life where I have a place big enough to accomodate people, so I'm looking forward to giving back to the couch surfing community.

Interests

All things crafty, you can never have too many projects going. Interested in learning new stuff and prefer reading non fiction for the most part. Always listening to pod casts, my favourites are Radiolab, Stil i P1 and Spanarna.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lost in translation will forever be at the top of my list! I listen to a range of music but it's mostly kind of soft "melting into the back ground" indie type of tunes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm sure there's something I've done that would qualify as amazing but I really try to focus on the small and beautiful but more mundane type of things that maybe aren't thrilling but make life worth living.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you all thing to do with craft: knitting, wood carving, crocheting, weaving.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'll cook for us! Or bring treats from Malmö's own chocolate factory!

Countries I’ve Visited
