Overview
About Me
Hi, I'm Siri!
I appreciate a simple life, preferably spent mostly in nature and by the sea. I've been sailing and horse riding all of my life and during these times I feel the most alive. I have a deep respect for nature and all the other beings on this earth and I prefer living and travelling in an eco friendly way.
My friends and family call me a hippie ;-) but as everyone else I'm a multifaceted being. I believe in balance and have no trouble wearing a beautiful dress, makeup and high heels one day and walking barefoot through a forest with flowers in my hair the next.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couch surfing is more fun, than staying in a hotel or Airbnb. You often stay with locals, who can tell you about the place and share some insider tips. You also get a chance to really get to know people from other countries, share your stories, make memories and so on. I think that's fantastic.

Music, Movies, and Books
I absolutely love Jack Johnson as all of his music reminds me of the ocean as well as Lana del Rey and Susanne Sundfør because of their extraordinary ability to write lyrics.
However, I have a pretty broad taste of music, as long as it involves instruments and has a story to tell.
I can never decide what my favourite books are! I'm always torn between The Song of the Lioness, Harry Potter and a Danish fantasy series called Historien om Mira.
Other than that, I love Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens and The Name of the Wind-trilogy by Patrick Rothfuss. Last one being fantasy as well. I'm a fantasy lover, that's for sure!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In October 2021 I found my dog Panteleia standing all alone by the roadside on Lesvos. She was only a puppy. I just couldn't leave this little darling, so I decided to adopt her and carried her all the way to my house. Today she lives with me in Denmark and is continuously charming everyone she meets.
In June 2019 I crossed the North Sea in a sailboat with three other people.
What I Can Share with Hosts
- Traveling stories. Very few things beats meeting new people from different countries and sharing traveling stories over a glass of wine or a draft beer.
