About Me

I'm a 25 years old Norwegian girl living in Bergen, Norway.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a curious person who loves traveling and meeting new people. Coachsurfing gives me the opportunity to travel more, because I can spend my money on bus or train tickets instead of hostels, and it's also a great way to get to know a place from the inside and from its inhabitants.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like most music except maybe rap and heavy metal. Normally, I use classical music or jazz as background music, but when I'm with other people, I listen to whatever they're listening to. I would love to discover more French music as it's an important part of the culture and also a good way to learn the language.

When it comes to films, I'm not very selective, but I don't like films that are too violent. My favourite films must be the Harry Potter series (because I love the books), and the French films I like the most are "Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis", "Amélie" and "La famille Bélier".

As already mentioned, I like Harry Potter. I also like the Norwegian authors Erlend Loe (especially his book "Doppler") and Helene Uri. As a former student in French language and literature, I know a lot about French literature, but I still think my favourite French book is one that I've never learned about: "Le Petit Prince".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2015-2016, I was an exchange student in Nantes, France, where I studied Geography. Even though it was hard studying something I didn't know anything about in a language that wasn't my mother tongue, I ended up learning a lot and wanting to learn even more about French language, culture and geography, which made me go on a second exchange, in Lille, France.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like discussing themes that give me more insight in how the world works; language, culture, geography or whichever other theme. I want to be able to see the world through other people's eyes, and at the same time share my point of view.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you've got a piano, I can teach you how to play. Considering that you might know how to play if you own a piano, I'll also add that we could play together.

I could also help you practise a language you're learning if it's a Scandinavian language (considering that you'll be able to understand Norwegian even if you're learning Swedish or Danish), English or French.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Denmark, England, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Wales

Countries I’ve Lived In
