Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started CS in Taiwan in 2020 February to meet more local people while traveling. Before this, I usually go to many places to conduct my research but I rarely talk to people just because I feel unsecured to do. So most of the time I ended up eating alone and relying too much on Google, lol. (I mean Google translate, Google map and its reviews have helped me a lot while traveling alone...hehe)

But my thinking pattern has changed since I saw some posts on Facebook from my friends about this. Since CS has references to the users which are useful to screen people, I started to read each review carefully and give it a try!!! The first place I have stayed by CS is Tainan, in which the host's hospitality was super nice!!! Really nice!! Better than I expected!!! This experience has opened my mind about traveling and meeting new friends from different countries, languages, ages, backgrounds and whatever!!
So I decided to join an event in Hang out when I stayed in Taichung. And this event introduced me to cool friends that we are still keeping in touch with and hanging out together after the event ended. Thank you, everyone, for a good time and good memories we spent together:) Looking forward to meeting new people and returning your kindness in Tokyo or Chiang Mai or wherever I will stay in future :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Wrote an MA thesis of 80,000 words in Japanese T_T
(and gotta triple it very soon for the next graduation.....wish me luck!!!)

- Completed eating Vegan for 10 days in a roll. I did it to detox myself. To be honest, it was awesome in the first 5 days but I started to the craving for garlic from the sixth day.....>< So I might be able to live without meat, but not without garlic..haha

- I tried most of Ramens in my town (Takadanobaba in Tokyo) .... by using the "Ramen Map"!!!! I highly recommend this app for all foodies and Ramen lovers in Japan!!! (Then I gained 3 kilos in that month for this project....hehe)
