ABOUT ME

I live currently in the beautiful city by the Great Salt Lake with my wife and our children. Her three children are all grown, being teenagers and beyond. We have a daughter together and being a father has been the greatest experience. I love being so close to mountains and a bustling city where I have made many friends. I work as the Youth Engagement Specialist for Real Food Rising, a program of Utah Community Action. Through this, I share the enjoyment of farming with teenagers in the Salt Lake area and increase the access to healthy food around Salt Lake. I enjoy outdoor activities that range from bicycling to rock climbing, camping, hiking, snowboarding, and pretty much everything in between. I love music, movies, and traveling. I live for the day when I can fly under my own power and not have to pay for expensive plane tickets.

PHILOSOPHY

I do what feels right at the moment. The past is but a memory, the future a concept, the only thing that exists is right now.

Surfed couches in Anchorage, AK and Eugene, OR. I have hosted a few and plan on doing much more hosting and surfing.

I love art that inspires and challenges me. Some of my favorite movies include Moana, The Last Mimzy, What the Bleep do We Know?, and The Matrix. Favorite books of mine are anything by Joseph Campbell, The Alchemist by Paulo Coello, Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsch, The Heart of Buddha's Teaching by Tich Nhat Hanh, Big Mind Big Heart by Dennis Genpo Merzel, and Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

As I travel I meet so many amazing people who have invited me to eat, sleep, shower or whatever I need. They invite me in as part of the familiy, not some stranger on the street. I find this in every country and culture I visit. These incredible people have shown me that there is a lot of love in this world. I am very happy to be a part of it!

Throughout my traveling I have discovered firsthand what I already knew, that despite the different languages that we speak and the different cultures we grew up in we are all part of one family. We are all human beings and important members of this incredible universe. Like snowflakes we each have our own unique shapes and properties but we are made up of exactly the same thing.
