About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Knowledge, research and discovery - often related to methanol

ABOUT ME

I love meeting new people. Duh! And I loving doing a million things. More than anything I love adventure in the physical sense - sailing, flying, obstacle races - and in the mental sense - challenging myself to understand the un-understandable.And that's why I love CS. I rarely am bored by anyone and even if that happens I can entertain. So come on by. We'll leave the light on for you! (Royal we...)

PHILOSOPHY

Life is short, make it awesome.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My travels around the world have often involved staying at a friend or family member's house and these visits have been the best. I therefore want to create that experience for others!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Though relatively new to it, I've hosted a few people recently and it was a way better experience than I imagined. Yay CS! I can't wait to actually stay with someone soon.

Interests

Hiking, biking, running, sailing, flying, arts, opera, music, great beers, spicy (as in not spicy hot but spicy Indian) food.

Also seeing stars. Recently saw Jupiter and its four moons at a local research observatory. It's hard to describe what's it's like to stare at Jupiter and see 4 glowing moons just staring at you.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: lots of indie films; hard to pin down the genre but basically films that drag your mind through deep quandries

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Many silly long things like Ironman and other endurance races; going to run Sierre Zinal - a 19 mile race up and over the Swiss Alps - this summer. But now I spend my weekends flying little planes!

Teach, Learn, Share

Those who are up to change things and shake up the world around them - on a grand scale or at home.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Beer from the tower of beer!! I need to add a picture but there are four beer taps in my living room with home brew running!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Brazil, Canada, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Italy, Jamaica, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Saint Martin (French part), Sint Maarten (Dutch part), Spain, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Virgin Islands, U.S.

Countries I’ve Lived In
