Overview
About Me
For three years I worked in an engineering office. As time went by, I realized that i became restless. I had this one wish for a long time…. I wanted to get to know my mother's country of origin. I went in search of my roots. So I quit my job, left Germany and traveled to Ecuador. I have been there for the last year and a half. I fell in love with the people, the culture and immediately felt at home. I like meeting new people and learning more about their culture. I am curious and mostly I say yes if there is a chance to try something new. The last year in ecuador i tried to say yes to everything that was offered to me. I learned in ecuador to play the traditional flute of Cotacachi, joined a folkloric dance group, joined an theatre collective, learned a bit about the language of my grandmother (kichwa) and also learned a lot about the traditions. Besides dancing and making music, I am passionate about making handicrafts. I made my first jewelry this year and at Christmas I always make my greeting cards by hand:) with my friends I like to do hikes and road trips. Also a good meal and glass of wine make me happy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most beautiful and incredible experiences was the boat trip to isla de la Plata in Puerto López, Ecuador. There was a very very small chance that we would see whales because the whale season was over. However, we were very lucky and a mother whale and her baby came swimming right towards us. They even swam under our boat. They were so close, we could almost touch them. It was like a dream.
Another memory is the vacation where I learned to snowboard. I will never forget that because it was a real struggle. A lot of fun but also a lot of falls, bruises, crying and despair.
