About Me
CURRENT MISSION
discovering things that aren't visible on the surface //
I explicitely want to help the queer communities around the world by offering this couch to all the queers that would like to surf it. I am offering a safe and inspiring place for you to stay. I will not make any assumptions about your gender, your identity, your sexual orientation, your ways of (not) building relationships, or anything else. I will respect you as a human being.
So if you are a queer in whatever sense (if you are trans, gendernonconforming, poc, feminist, polyamorous, gay, bi, demisexual or asexual, disabled, ...) you are more than welcome to stay here. let's share stories of resistance; let's empower and be empowered; or let us just joyously be together without any presupposed expectations, knowing that we are safe and far away from any kind of violence.
ABOUT ME
yo soy yo y mi circunstancia (José Ortega-Gasset)/ trying to grasp as much intensity as possible
PHILOSOPHY
I believe that through meeting a great variety of people one learns a lot about oneself and about the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My first couchsurfing experience, when I was a little over 17, was with Kasimir in Berlin. We had a great, inspiring evening full of crazy talks and a little bit too much drinking.
I've done a lot of spontaneous couchsurfing in Ireland, because the people are nice, open and super easy to approach.
However, it was during my erasmus in Berlin that I fully realized the importance of couchsurfing. It helps to grasp a way of life that reaches beyond capitalism.
Travelling opens up perspectives and feeds the soul -- I could not imagine life without it. Couchsurfing allows me to connect with locals, understand the specific sensibilities of a place; go beyond the superficiality of being a tourist.
For the moment I experience the most joy in hosting queer people and/or being hosted by queer people. let's inspire each other with our queer ways of life; our queer ways of disrupting heteronormativity; our queer ways of creating possibilities; ... ! But, most importantly, let's help each other in travelling safely -- safeguarded from all the sexist, trans- & homophobic (structural) violence.
