About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Exploding my own perception of reality.

ABOUT ME

Awkward talking about myself in general but I love getting to know new people and places. Studying sociology & government at UT Austin & avoiding reality until 2013. Didn't have the opportunity to travel much growing up but trying to turn that around these days...

PHILOSOPHY

I try to understand & appreciate the world around me in all its shit and sunshine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm not quite sure...completely new to this. I'll let you know when I figure it out.

Interests

Any activity that can enthrall two sides of an inquiring mind. I don't not like much but I'm most passionate about art, classical Indian dance, music (although I have no musical talent whatsoever), sociology and political activism.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: The Fall, Howl's Moving Castle, Angel-A, The Diving Bell & the Butterfly, Fantastic Mr.Fox

Music: Dr.Dog, The Head & the Heart, Apparat, Hot Chip, Yeasayer, the Dodos, Beach House, Active Child, Taken by Trees, Grizzly Bear, anything Motown --- etc. etc. etc.

Books: Fitzgerald, Margaret Atwood, David Sedaris, Hemingway, Lydia Millet, David Foster Wallace etc. etc. etc. etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent a year attending a village art school in the middle of a forest in India when I was very young (around 8 years old?). Didn't understand what was happening at the time, and I definitely didn't enjoy it then. But looking back, it was a total game changer and I couldn't be more grateful for that life-changing experience.
