About Me

Spontaneous, easy going, fun loving, open minded, into bicycling, chill, respectful, non-judgemental, up for a laugh, considerate, sees humor in most situations, kind, generous, does dishes, will try anything once, anything except cannibalism.

Travelling solo since October 2016, currently seeing where the wind takes me. I listen to every impulse and act on every whim. Looking for a different way to live and maybe even a place to call home.

Education background in Physics, and Transport Planning, worked in management consultancy as well as not-for-profit organization. Professional interests are number crunching, mental health and homelessness.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To share time, space, knowledge, experiences and memories.

As much as I enjoy the independence and self-reliance of traveling solo, it is abundantly clear to me that this is a shared experience. It is my aim to share authorship of my travels. More fun, rich, varied that way.

I am curious about everything, like to understand how things work, and probably ask too many questions if you get me started.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like most sorts of music, enjoy deep big bass and big soundsystems. If it is live, it is almost certainly good.

Jazz, funk, hip hop, bass, cumbia, techno, house, grime, electronic, indie, Radiohead

I don't get around to read as much as I would like to. When I do I like a good story, novels that deal with difficult subjects and introduce new perspectives.

The Stand, One Hundred Years of Solitude, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, The Alchemist, A Brief History of Time

I love films, serious, sad, incomprehensible, foreign, silent, animated, short, even bad ones.

Up, Fight Club, Memento, Old Boy, Enter the Void, La Haine, Lost Highway, Zoolander

TV: Six Feet Under, Mad Men, The Sopranos, The Wire, Breaking Bad, Horace and Pete, The Leftovers, Power, Fargo, American Horror Story
