Overview
About Me
I’m an Iranian visual artist, born in Tehran and now living in Istanbul. I photograph, film, and connect with people wherever I go.
My outlook on life is deeply rooted in Persian poetry and literature, and Khayyam has been my greatest guide in shaping my philosophy.
Whenever I feel weary of life, I try to steer myself back toward hope.
I’m proud to have lived more than thirty years in close companionship with art. It doesn’t always feed the body, but it has always been the wine of my life.
I’m intoxicated by meeting people, and by the mysterious truth of existence.
I sleep late, wake late, but I’ve always fought for my dreams.
I come from a geography where the sword has often stood before me, yet I belong to a land of peace—
a peace that, paradoxically, is sometimes only possible through struggle.
I’m a wanderer full of questions, and I honestly don’t know why I stand exactly here today—but perhaps that’s part of the journey.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m here to meet people, share stories, and experience life from different perspectives. I love the unexpected connections, the laughter, and the quiet moments of understanding that come from being welcomed into someone’s home.
Couchsurfing, for me, is not just a way to travel—it’s a way to explore humanity, exchange ideas, and find inspiration in the everyday lives of others.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
I drift between the echoes of Pink Floyd, the raw pulse of alternative music, and the timeless breath of classical compositions—each one a doorway into a different feeling.
Movies:
Cinema, for me, is a kind of quiet meditation. I’m drawn to the worlds of Abbas Kiarostami, Andrei Tarkovsky, Nuri Bilge Ceylan, and Béla Tarr—filmmakers who turn silence, simplicity, and stillness into poetry.
Books:
My literary heart belongs to the deep well of Persian poetry: the wisdom of Khayyam, the grace of Saadi, the mystic fire of Hafez and Rumi, and the bold voices of contemporary poets like Forough Farrokhzad, Ahmad Shamlou, and Mehdi Akhavan-Sales. Their words have shaped the way I see life, light, and longing.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
“I’ve spent my life capturing the hidden worlds within people—their stories, their silence, and the mysterious truth behind their eyes.”
Teach, Learn, Share
I love exploring new ideas and learning from the world around me. Technology fascinates me not for its gadgets, but for the ways it can connect people, share stories, and open doors to creativity.
I enjoy exchanging knowledge, discussing life, art, and philosophy, and discovering new perspectives through conversation and experience.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love connecting with people and sharing experiences. I can share stories, photographs, and perspectives from my life as a visual artist and traveler.
I enjoy deep conversations about art, philosophy, and poetry, and I’m always happy to listen and learn from others.
Whether it’s a laugh, a meaningful discussion, or a glimpse into different cultures, I bring curiosity, respect, and an open heart to every stay.
