I am a final year PhD student in Paris. I came to France three years ago, in 2014. While I can't call myself an avid traveler, I have visited most of the western European capital cities. In the coming years, I would like to travel to the hinterland and some eastern European countries.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been staying in youth hostels during most of my travels. A friend of mine (an obsessive traveler) recommended couchsurfing to meet the local people and have a more authenticate travel experience. I am here to try it out :)

I cannot host often since I live in a student residence that charges for guests and has limitations on the number of 'hosting days' (yes, quite strict!). However, if you have hosted me before, I can work around these limitations ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

I mostly listen to Indian music. I also like Lumineers, Nancy sinatra and Modern noir.

Favorite movies are Prestige, God father, A beautiful mind , followed by a long list of French, Korean and Tamil movies.

Fiction - Catch 22, Great Gatsby, Pride and prejudice, God father.
Non-fiction - Sapiens, God delusion, Strangers in their own land
Autobiographies of Gandhi and Malcolm X.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can tell you about the complexity of India (we call it diversity in India) and how 20+ official languages are being spoken in India.
I can also share with you some of my South Indian music and recipes :)
