About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To conquer the World.

ABOUT ME

I am one of those people that look quite intimidating on the outside but deep down, I get all warm and fuzzy when I see cute stuff like puppies. There! I've admitted it.

Okay no seriously, I spent the first 20 years of my life wanting to travel but was unable to because I wasn't exactly from a rich family. Now that I'm financially stable, I want to travel the World because you only live once.

I am currently in the midst of writing and developing new stories for future films and I will need to explore the World to be able to come up with accurate details of places and people. Who knows, I might base my next story on you.

PHILOSOPHY

Life begins where fear ends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By showing visitors around and making new friends when I travel. I guess that was the whole point of this site after all.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far so good. I tried CS-ing for the first time during my first solo trip to South Korea in 2013 and I made some friends along the way and I am still in touch with them. It's a whole new World out there.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: EDM, Metal, Electro-Pop, Dubstep, Drum&Bass, Alternative, Ambient, Shoegaze, Post-Rock. Don't let me get started on bands, I have a HUGE collection.

Movies: Kokuhaku (Confessions), Requiem for a Dream, Fight Club, Samsara, Oldboy, Ichi The Killer, Birdman, The Prestige, etc. I studied film so naturally this list is going to be pretty long.

Books: Stuff by Osho, Roald Dahl, Philip K. Dick and H.G Wells.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watching the sunrise on Haad Rin Beach, slumped on the beach, sand in my shorts, unforgettable experience.

Walking aimlessly in Seoul for about 3 hours before ending up at a flyover overlooking the Hanggang River. I climbed up the flyover and walked right into a beautiful sight of the sun setting.

Skanking with a random old Malaysian dude who just happened to be beside me during Prodigy's set at Future Music Festival Asia (they were playing outer space).

Conquered my fear of motorbikes/scooters by renting a scooter to get to Eluanbi Lighthouse, the Southern Tip of Taiwan in Kenting.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn about new cultures as this will help me become a better story-teller and film-maker. In return, I will teach you about what I know and have learnt as a film-maker and how this can actually help you understand the World differently and view it from a different perspective.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My life stories, things I have learnt over the years. The things you can do in Singapore, especially on the cheap since a lot of people around the World still think you need $5 to get a plate of rice (they are not wrong) and that you can get hanged for littering (that's wrong, it's a $1000 fine instead.)

Countries I’ve Visited

Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In

Singapore
